The family owned the house till 1862. Then, in 1904 - 1905, A.Weiss, its later owner, had it rebuilt to its present appearance, which was designed by Arnold Haymann, a Viennese architect. In this place, Josef Dobrovsky, a Czech historian and philologist, met J. W. The hotel building is an architectural curiosity, especially its facade with a number of neo-Gothic, neo-baroque, Art Nouveau and Tudor elements.
